Resource Sharing Committee Report, 3/20/2015

Happy Vernal Equinox! Spring has arrived! 

The Resource Sharing Committee held no meetings via Google Hang-Out since last fall, but we have met almost continuously via email for the last month and a half to elect a new committee chair and to re-organize our internal subcommittees. 

The committee, although I encouraged them to nominate another committee member, chose to nominate and re-elect me--Crystal Long--as committee chair for another year. This was done by motion/second and vote of acclamation; all of this was accomplished by email, with the approval of the current ArkLink president, Gerald Cox. 

We lost a committee member in the early part of the spring semester. Lacey Wolfe asked to step down. We were sorry to see her leave. 

Once our subcommittee reorganization is complete, we will resume work on the statewide libguides survey. Our apologies for the length of time that it is taking to get this survey out to you; we want to do it right, the first time. 

The final results of our TAE-Amigos Courier Survey are in; 24 libraries participated. Of those 24, only 8 currently use the courier; the 16 that do not use the courier expressed that their numbers of ILL transactions do not justify the cost of the courier service.For a more detailed explanation, please review the results page that Elizabeth so beautifully created for us (pdf attached at bottom of page).
